Çınar-1 HEPP

Project Detail

Çınar-1 HEPP Project is located around Uğurköy village which is 20 km from the city center of the Düzce Kaynaşlı.

Hamamüstü and Soğuksu diverted creek flow by different diversion weirs are conveyed to headponds (different elevation) with corrugated pipes and transferred to power house with two seperate penstocks.

There exist 2 horizontal axis Francis turbine manufactured by Kossler inside power house where installed powers are 1.27 MW and 3.25 MW separately and there exist one vertical axis 6 jet pelton turbine manufactured by Kossler company inside the same power house where installed power is 5.10 MW.

Total design discharge for the francis type is 8.0 m3/s and and flow water is diverted by Hamamüstü ogee-shaped spillway. Total design discharge for the pelton type is 3.3 m3/s and and flow water is diverted by Soğuksu tyrolean type diversion weir.

There exist flow regulation valve in the Soğuksu headpond which is applied in Turkey for the first time with Erhard Company. By the help of installed needle valve, there exists no overflow system at headpond.
