Project Detail

Murat-1.2 project is on Çavdarlı Creek which is located in Mesudiye district of Ordu city inside Black Sea Region.

Murat-1.2 diversion weir was designed as overflow spillway. Diverted creek flow is transferred to the headpond by corrugated pipeline with 2200 mm diameter.

8000 m length of pipeline is also designed for storage. For this purpose headpond and gate system were constructed. There exist two horizontal francis type turbine in the power house. Tail water structure is a double chamber structure and at the outlet there exists a pipeline system for discharging to creek.

Project is a good example of how to store water inside a long pipeline.
